Founder
Jason Asher, a culinary maestro and celebrated mixologist from Phoenix, Arizona, is a founding partner of Juniper & Jigger Hospitality Co. With over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, Jason’s expertise spans mixology, spirits, and restaurant and bar operations.
His journey began during his academic years, leading him to pursue a Culinary Arts degree from the California Culinary Academy. His exceptional talent in crafting cocktails has earned him a nationwide reputation, with features in high-profile publications such as Esquire, Imbibe, Tasting Panel, Food & Wine, GQ, and Saveur. His work has also garnered attention from Vinepair, Forbes, Afar Magazine, and the Wall Street Journal, solidifying his prominence in the industry.
Jason’s innovative approach to mixology has won him several prestigious accolades. His previous bar concept clinched the “Best U.S. Cocktail Bar” title at the 2023 Tales of the Cocktail Foundation’s Spirited Awards and secured a spot on the esteemed North America’s 50 Best Bars list in both 2023 and 2024. He was a Top 4 Finalist in 2024 for Tales of the Cocktail Foundation’s Spirited Awards “Best U.S. Bar Mentor” and was crowned GQ Bombay Sapphire’s Most Inspired Bartender in 2010 and emerged as a champion on Food Network’s Chopped in 2017.
In 2023, his previous company received the titles of “Outstanding Hospitality Group” and “Most Creative Handcraft Cocktail Program,” further highlighting their commitment to excellence and innovation.
Beyond his professional realm, Jason is a dedicated mentor and family man who enjoys globetrotting, mentoring his team, and spending quality time with his wife, Kailee, and their family. He enjoys hiking, watching football and basketball, and loves chicken wings. Jason’s journey stands as a testament to his passion for the industry, continuing to inspire and revolutionize the world of mixology.
